• Develop the operational plan for business excellence in line with the business plan of PMO and Business Excellence and strategic plan of Industry Development.
• Measure/ monitor progress towards achieving key performance indicators
• Assist Unit Manager in developing budgets and identifying resources.
• Develop business excellence processes, procedures, forms, and tools in compliance with policies and business needs for automation in coordination with Information Technology.
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the team ensuring that work processes are implemented as designed.
• Provide subject matter expertise in business excellence subjects.
• Support in developing approaches and tools.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including other departments, public and private sector entities, contractors, and consultants.
• Identify sources of data, ensure data accuracy and conduct complex analysis.
• Handle escalated cases/issues with Unit Manager and ensure resolution in a timely manner.
• Develop advanced reports and supervise implementation of corrective action.
• Keep abreast of business process re-engineering and quality management best practices for recommendation and implementation at SCEGA.
• Assist in the development and update of methodologies and tools for process mapping, analyses and redesign.
• Assist in the development and update of SCEGA process framework and drive Authority conformance to the framework.
• Assist in setting the quality management system across SCEGA in line with international best standards.
• Identify relevant national and international quality management firms to collaborate with and determine suitable business forums to participate in, in order to improve quality management system of SCEGA.
• Develop and supervise documentation and standardization for all SCEGA policies, processes, work instructions and standards.
• Develop, improve and update key business processes as per approved framework.
• Optimize process interconnection, automation and integration through applicable tools automate key business processes in coordination with process owners and IT.
• Ensure document security through user profile and access level management.
• Assist in the development of quality compliance plan to monitor implementation of quality system.
• Supervise audit and assessment of existing business processes to monitor compliance to established quality standards and documentation.
• Report and analyze findings resulting from quality audits, recommend improvements or changes, and follow-up on corrective action implementation.
• Assist in the development of continuous improvement program and processes improvement plans to improve and ease implementation of business processes and quality standards.
• Monitor and report progress of business improvement and identify lessons learned.
• Coordinate with Management for developing and motivating team members (if any)
• Perform on-the-job training for direct reports (if any)
• Provide feedback on the job performance of direct reports (if any)
