- The Supervisory Committee Chair heads all meetings. Meetings are deemed official with majority members in attendance. Decisions are made by a majority vote of those in attendance.
In case of a tie vote, the vote of the chair shall weigh heaviest.- The Committee will hold meetings periodically at least twice a year. Chair reserves the right to call for a meet whenever the need arises.
- The Supervisory Committee is the administrative authority of SECB, takes all necessary decisions to achieve its objectives and competencies.
Supervisory Committee Duties
- Approve general policies to develop Saudi meeting industry.
- Adopt the rules to organize business events in the Kingdom and licensing, classification and qualification of venues, institutions and employees in this industry.
- Propose necessary rules and regulations to improve Saudi meeting industry and related business, or amend the existing ones. Submit those that need necessary legal procedures to the concerned authorities.
- Approve SECB five-year plan, operational plans, organizational structure, budget, and administrative and financial regulations.
- Determine and approve the fees for services provided by SECB.
- Nominate and appoint SECB Executive Director.
- Evaluate the performance of SECB periodically, and make the necessary decisions to increase its effectiveness to achieve its objectives.
