ICCA and SCEGA have announced a new collaboration framework to foster continuous advocacy and build an awareness program to develop continuous meetings industry education for local stakeholders.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalises the mutual interaction and strengthens the existing relationship between ICCA and SCEGA at both the strategic and working level. This new framework will be focusing on the development of association meetings and its impacts. It will also streamline ICCA’s advocacy efforts and strengthen them further in Saudi Arabia.
ICCA is the global community and knowledge hub for the international association meetings industry, will provide a platform for SCEGA to develop meetings industry education in Saudi Arabia.
SCEGA aims to develop and organise the meetings industry in the Kingdom and is working towards necessary plans to achieve its growth and developing a strategy to improve the meetings industry.
ICCA and SCEGA have a shared objective of the exchange of knowledge between themselves and international associations. This MoU will strengthen future cooperation to achieve common goals that will position Saudi Arabia in the association meetings industry as a future destination.
Senthil Gopinath the ICCA CEO said:
